At the heart of Eagle Wind Sound is our Rupert Neve Designs 5088 Fully Discrete Analogue Mixer. Eagle Wind Sound was designed by consulting Alan Parsons, and replicating a compact version of his very own Parsonics Studios in Goleta, CA. Naturally at the center of the studio would be one of the “Holy Grails” of audio engineering equipment, the Rupert Neve 5088.
More information about the Rupert Neve 5088 and its wide range of praise in the industry can be found HERE.
“In an industry where there are many ‘names among names,’ it’s hard to not elevate Rupert Neve above them all. His unique understanding of analog circuitry forged a sound that is instantly recognizable, known collectively as the ‘Rupert Neve sound.’ For the uninitiated, the recent Sound City documentary serves as a great primer for the magic that comes from voltage saturating a transformer, which became the signature sound of Rupert Neve gear.” ~ Sweetwater
